Obtaining information on mineral rights

I have the mineral rights to 27 Township 4N Range 8W in Grady County, Oklahoma. I need to get information on drilling activities etc., etc. Can anyone help?

Darryl:

I would contact the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. You can google them and obtain their website for additional info.

Darryl,

It looks to me at first glance that the 2009 leases play around you may have expired. You are southwest of a long-standing trend from multiple formations but across the trend, some major Oklahoma players have or intend to drill some horizontal wells to the Hoxbar in a similar play to the south near Marlow in Stephens County.

If you are being hustled for leases, you may want to make sure it is for a major player that knows what they are doing. Since there is activity on two sides, you may want to wait a while for a good lease or farm out if you have lots of acreage. A short-term lease in your favor for cash may be a speculative alternative.

Thank you Gary, I don’t have a clue as to what to do. Do you have anyone I can call?

I sent you a personal message.
