Hi All I have mineral rights that are under lease. I have found information on the state site that shows that this company is planning to do a exploratory oil and gas well project. The web site shows a state signed "Notice of Completion" Does this mean that work can start ?
Thank you
Shane,
It usually indicates that pipe has been set in a well and the formation has been perforated, treated and tested.
A completion report indicates details of completion including the IP (initial potential) of the well. good news
Bad news, - sometimes "completion" means the well has been plugged and will be abandoned. I hope you get a Division Order soon. Good news. Is that gold ore in your picture?

Thank you for the reply. I have not seen a permit to drill posted yet, I think that the notice of completion is the planning and environmental impact reports and then its open to the public after everyone is happy The state environmental scientist signs the approval, then I think the oil drilling company files for a permit to drill, then in a few weeks the permit should be posted.
Shane, your minerals must be in an area unfamiliar to me but if you will send me your legal description, I will check my extensive data base for you. If you are in OK or TX, contact Clint Liles, he is much faster than I am.
