Noble County Drilling Activity

Mineral rights owner having inherited several acres in Noble County Section 18-22N-2E, and seeking any information about current or recent drilling impacting this property. I’m new to this area and finding the state online resources such as OCC Well Finder challenging to research potential horizontal wells which may intersect. Family has owned the mineral rights for decades and never received any royalties, last leased in 2010 (leases now expired), so interested in current & future production activity/value, and any retrospective recovery. Grateful in advance for any advice!

That township is pretty quiet at the moment. No new leasing in the last 24 months. Sec 18 has an old dry hole from 1982.

I did a quick look and no horizontals have crossed your property. You would have received notice of such if your address is properly on file in the county courthouse where the minerals are located.

Thanks so much for your reply! Using the state site or other publicly available online tools is there a way to pin down definitively whether there are/have been any horizontal wells from adjacent Sections that might be producing and traversing the property?

The state GIS map is not terribly helpful as it only gives the surface locations. You can use the OCC well records site to search the sections around you. I use a subscription and did a quick look already. No horizontals near you.
