No Royalty Check

I have a question. My mother has been getting a royalty check for Snipe Hunter #1 but checks stopped about five months ago for Snipe Hunter #2. Does anyone know anything or who she can contact? Thanks!

Since oil is reported to the state on the lease level, there won't be any breakout of individual well production on your mother's check stub. Rather, it will just show you the lease total production for all wells on the Snipe Hunter lease. It should, however, indicate somewhere which wells are on the lease (#1, #2).

The #2 well came onto production back in 08/2012 and the production history of the lease indicates quite clearly the decline from that point in time. I would say that if your mother was paid for 4,613 barrels of oil produced this past month, then she's getting paid for both wells.

If that's not the case or if you still have questions, try contacting Judy Lyle with Penn Virginia, her phone number is 713-722-6500.

Thank you, Chad

Hi Chad. I just looked at my moms payment stubs. All stubs from the months before March clearly show Snipe #1 and #2 but this last check only shows #1. This recent stub basically shows no breakdown of anything like the others, ie. barrel production.

Who is the company. Is that Penn Va. If so and you are getting a manual check I so know that they switched acct. systems and were having problems the last two months getting checks out on time. I would check the Texas Railroad commission site to make sure bbls are accurate ect.

It is Penn Va. I guess just wait and see. Thank you.

Lease Name: SNIPE HUNTER, Lease No: 09830 District 02 Lease Production and Disposition Dec 2011 - Jan 2014

Does this mean Snipe Hunter #1 or #2 stopped producing this past January?

Neither stopped producing. Let me send you one more from the RRC site.

Thank you for the info. Does the site say how many wells are on a particular lease? In this case the Brauer (I think is the spelling) lease where the Snipe Hunter wells are? They had initially told us 4 wells but we only know of two. Thanks again

Do they gave the same operator

Where would I find that?

There are only two wells out there currently. Once a lease is HBP (Held By Production) the oil company can and will wait a while to come back. Example our first well was drilled in Aug 2012. The next two in Jan 2014.
