No Division Orders Yet

3-6-9 of Hughes County. 2 wells were drilled by Corterra in 2018, “Josh 0409-1HX” and “Beth 0310-1HXR” Date of first production was 4-18-2019. Spud dates were 2-5-18 and 3-16-18. No division orders yet. Is this normal? How long does this normally take after date of first production?

Which section do you have acreage in? The Josh 0409 was spud in section 3, but the perforations are in sections 4 & 9, so it you are not in those two sections, you will not get a division order. Beth 0310-1HXR is in sections 3 and 10.

Division orders on multi-section wells can be delayed until the final order is decided at the Corporation commission that posts the final splits of the well. That is needed for the Division Order to be calculated. Corterra Energy drilled the well. You can find the splits for the Beth well under CD 201708211 Order 678455 The Exhibit has the map and the survey. First sales was 4/18/19 so you should have been paid 180 days later. If not, contact Corterra and request payment and interest. But only if you have acreage in 3 or 10. You only get paid on the perforations in your section.

The Josh well is listed under CD 201708074 Order 689802. First sales was 4/18/19 so you should have been paid 180 days later. If not, contact Corterra and request payment and interest. But only if you have acreage in 4 & 9.

There may be a title issue that has to be cleared up. Send any correspondence to their Division Order department by certified return receipt mail.

Thanks for your response and the information. We have acreage in both sections 3 and 4. I have contacted Corterra a couple of times and their answer has been that they are waiting on the title opinion. Where do I plug in the CD # and the Order # that you referenced?

They hopefully tend to move a bit quicker once they start getting the demand letters for interest.
