No Activity

I have two leases on small mineral interests in Burke County, North Dakota. They are both in Township 162N, Range 91W, one in Section 21, the other in Section 29. There seems to be no activity anywhere in Township 162N, while there are several wells in the Townships and Ranges around my location. I use this site as a reference: www.dmr.nd.gov/ndgs/Circulars/Burke/Burke.county.asp

Anyone have any ideas about the situation in Township 162N?

David:

It appears that your minerals area is located in the Rennie Lake field. The records indicate that there are currently 10 active wells in this field with multiple other wells. The majority of the wells in this field are older wells with approximately two drilled within the past 5 years. You should be able to maintain a lease on your minerals since the area has a history of drilling activity. You can never predict what the future will hold in regards to successful drilling as various formations exist in the area.

I have the rights to Rebne 11-7H located in Township 162-N. After about 15 months of production it was shut-in August of 2011 and has had no appreciable production since.
