a couple of years ago we purchased some land and without us knowing it came with the mineral right we were approched by a land man and we leased our rights. To make a long shrot short Global Geophysical Service has just completed work on our land. we are getting calls and letters from companys wanting to buy or lease our minerals what do we do? thanks ct
Global also did some surveys on our property a few years ago and paid a small fee to do so. We also had a company that came in and leased the property under the mineral rights and paid us a nice check for a 3 year lease with their option to renew at a lower price for another 2 years. That number is negotiable. Read it carefully. you should also put in stipulations about what happens if they destroy any property or trees on the property. They will pay for hardwood trees that are removed or damaged. Remember, everything is negotiable.
