Did I see something about new wells being drilled in Stephens, S16 or S17?

Hi Wiffy, in Sec 17-1S-4W, there is well api 35-137-27541, Skeet 17-20, which was completed in June 2019. In Sec 16-1S-4W there is well api 35-137-27593, Gus McCrae, that was completed in Sept. 2020.
These are the newest wells I see in those sections.

The Gus McCrae well has a surface location in Sec. 9 and the bottom location is in Sec. 21. It does, however, cut across the western half of Sec. 16.

PS What does “api 35-137-27541” and api 35-137-27593" mean?
Each well has a unique API number. Sometimes it is easier to search using the API number or this is often how the wells are labeled on various maps.
API stands for American Petroleum Institute. They assign unique identifying numbers to each well in the country. The first two numbers are the state code, the next three are the country code and the next five are the well code. Sometimes, there are four more if there is a sidetrack.
