I am wondering if anyone knows the average production rate (bopd) on NEW wells in the Kern County/Elk Hills area? I am looking for both initial rates and where they typically settle out at after the first year or so. Additionally, what is the average production unit size for these new wells? Thanks!

You can go to the state’s website and look it all up yourself. For your convenience I have even listed their website below. They have all the information you want there and it is simple to use as I have used it many times including their GIS mapping.
Looking at the old data I have I’m seeing an average of 200 BOPD. It seems that anything under 100 is not very profitable. Here is a link with better information. Best of luck.
