I have mineral rights in Carter County Oklahoma. 1/16 interest in 90 acres W/2 NW/4 Section 20 Township 4 South Range 3 West IBM

I would like to know how to lease these mineral rights.

Is your title information at the county clerk’s office up to date with current address? You want to make sure that they can find you.

I recommend going to the County Clerk's Office and searching in the computer for any oil-and-gas leases in the last year. Then, by inspecting their images (and not paying for the photocopies), you can copy down the names and addresses of any operators leasing in the area. Then call them up and make sure they know about you! Best piece of advice: you should almost never take their first offer.
