Great news! Energy Transfer announced yesterday a 5.6 Billion dollar project to run a natural gas pipeline from Reeves county to Arizona.
ONEOKS approved 365 million dollar natural gas plant in Reeves County.
As a surface land owner iam excited. Is that excitement premature? What do you all think about these new developments???

Until things actually happen, I would temper any enthusiasm.
But taking Permian Gas to western markets is a very positive move.
And new gas plant always welcome - but there needs to be the take away capacity for the processed gas.
There was talk about new gas line to Mexico - I wonder how that is going?
I wonder how the

Yes sir. Thanks for the feedback. Infinium is doing that effort to Mexico. I read it is a facility in Pecos that will handle that effort.2027 is the projected completion date
Does it say where or what block it will start at?
Did they show a map?
Thank you
Unfortunately they did not. But if you are a landowner surface there is 6 billion worth of projects that are coming down the pike. Don’t be surprised if you get some lease offers or offers to buy your land. Mine is near FM 2119.
I really wouldn’t know, where that is.
But my surface land is in the E 1/2 of NE 1/4 OF THE NE 1/4 of section 14, block 7
Thank you for the updates and information.
Iam in block 45 section 37 and sec 35. Iam right near FM 2119. I think we all as landowners in this area have a reason to be excited. I definitely am. There are projects that be going out up to 2030 at the least. I definitely will post if I find out any new info. In and around Pecos to Culberson county

Thank you, i am Reeves county, so if you hear anything about Reeves county, i would love to know. Thanks
I have surface acres in Block 58, Section 24, which is really not very far from you, Keith. I recently received a notice from the PUC that Oncor Electric has applied to build a new transmission line in Culberson/Reeves. I don’t know yet if my property will be on their desired route but it is another indication of projects going on in the area.

My surface is in Block 1 right off the I-10. We’ve gotten paid for pipelines and electric transmission lines, etc. in the past, so I got my fingers crossed! Glad there’s a place where we all can share intel.
Hello David! Thank you for sharing your experience. If you don’t mind me asking Did u lease your land to them or did you sell it to them outright?
We always did easements/rights of way. I don’t think we characterized any of them as leases, and we don’t sell anything. We work with a lawyer who guides us on all that stuff and usually ends up preparing the documents.
That sounds like a good deal. As you saw on my initial post there are multiple projects that have been funded and are about to commence in our area. Then Joy_Roberts contributed to the discussion with her good news. I think that it’s good if anyone one in our area hears any updates to please share.

I get a lot of offers to sell my Reeves County producing minerals. Am hoping to get production from 2 more zones. I’m in Toyah Lake area. Block C-7, PSL

That is awesome! I have 20 acres in Reeves. Iam hoping to land an pipeline easement agreement at some point. There is a lot of activity projected for the Delaware Basin for the next 10 years! Best of luck to you in your endeavors!
Toyah area in southern Reeves County in anomalous due its shallow nature but gas prone reservoirs. Primary targets are Woodford and Barnett (gas) with some lesser Wolfcamp target(s) that are more liquid prone.
Very different from Northern Reeves County where up to 8 different horizons can be legitimate Hz target zones in more liquid / oil prone areas.
Issue with developing this part of Reeves County is gas pipeline take away capacity complicated by low gas prices and limited associate liquids from the main target zones.
Apache hit this area hard a few years ago (their Alpine High area) but pulled back primarily due to low gas price environment.
Recently had a notice of transmission lines from a proposed 345 kV transmission line project Reeves and Pecos counties. AEP and TNMP venture. These things look huge. Hopefully worth something. Finally something involving 2903 as well as the north side of 10.

That’s awesome! What in your opinion would those companies potentially pay a landowner for something like that?
A total unknown for me, but it’s 60 - 70 miles of infrastructure all around the area, not just 1 line but multiple lines. it is unclear from the map how many lines are the huge ones versus those just for local power transmission. i assume the payment and easement required varies greatly between those carrying power locally and those carrying power regionally. The information I was provided reflects the project as south of Toyah and Pecos down to IH 10.
