My question is i have 6 acres of mineral rights in richland co mt i do know that recently the well they had drilled did achieve and produce oil so thats great even though i own a small amount of acres i was offered a buy out which we declined i guess my question is are they able to drill more wells on the unit they leased from you now like i said i only own 6 acres on a 640 acre track were this well went up but i have heard that there is another well going up on that unit? What was the name of the operator who drilled the well and when was it drilled? Looking at the map, I don't see any wells on the area that you described but the map could be dated. Operators obtain permits for multiple wells so you would have to view the application made by the operator. In most cases, once the lease is HBP, they can drill additional wells per the guidelines of the application and the lease agreement.
