Hello, thankful to have found this site. I need guidance on this Antero lease. It appears royalties are at 16.5% and $4500 bonus on 1.5 acres.
Have you signed the lease? Make sure you go through it before signing in a lot more detail. For example, is that 16.5% GROSS or NET? If you dont know, its probably NET and its going to hurt the value of your mineral assets whether you want to collect or sell
Push them for more on that royalty. We’ve been negotiating up to 18% (and more in a few circumstances) here in West Virginia for years.
