I have 2 leases on the same section in Ward Co Texas, one I signed and one which I acquired from my mother that she signed. The lease I signed has a ¼ % royalty with an exhibit attached that I had created for me. The lease my mother signed has a 3/16 royalty with no exhibit. Before I sign a ratification would I be able to request or negotiate that the 2 leases be the same. Thanks for any help.
Debra- never hurts to ask, but the answer will probably be no. The ratification is only to verify that you are the owner of both pieces of minerals and agree that the leases in place are the ones you are subject to.
