My husband is a joint owner of approximately 640 acres (he and his sister split 320 acres sacs a cousin owns the other 320 acres). They just signed a lease and received their bonus.
The landman found them thru the affidavit of heirship they filed when their mother passed. my husband wants to get his share in both our names so if something happens to him, any future (we’re hopeful) royalty won’t be held in suspense.
Can anyone advise or recommend a gas and oil attorney to execute a Mineral Deed to convey his interest into both of our names as Community Property with Right of Survivorship.

This is basic advice I would give anyone, especially someone with an estate of any value. I would contact a competent estate planning attorney and make sure you have a will in place, as well as an advance directive, durable power of attorney, and medical power of attorney. This way, you are not only covered after your death but also in the event you are incapacitated and still alive. I am only licensed in Texas, but this advice is probably good for any jurisdiction.
