How can my brother have mineral rights if I have a mineral gift deed from my Daddy to any and all of his minerals?
You dad may have gifted an equal share to your brother as well or he might have split his holdings in some percentage. Depends upon what the deed actually says. You can do some free looking at www.Texasfile.com and search for mineral deeds in your county. You can print for a small fee. Someone may be able to recommend an attorney. There are several attorneys listed in the Directories tab above. They do not have to live near Palestine, just be licensed in Texas.
You can observe qualified professionals (often with localized expertise) who provide services to mineral owners right here on The Mineral Rights Forum. You will notice them in 3 different places on the site:
-
in display image ads and text links on site
-
in our Mineral Service Provider Directory in the main navigation bar above. These are arranged by professional discipline.
-
as a Business Member within many conversations throughout the site Look for the blue colored “B” on their picture and blue colored text).
These practitioners are often able to provide specific (and often localized) services that meet your needs.
