Lease is in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas.
Leased and producing since 2007; currently to Sabine Oil & Gas; previously was NFR Energy; originally was El Paso.
Monthly payments for the past several years have been about 5% to 10% of what they were previously when the lessee was El Paso, and even NFR. I should add that around the time of the NFR/Sabine change there was a precipitous drop in the check amounts; from a couple thousand to a several hundred; more than 50%. There was another drop more recently, which was something like 50%.
A few years ago, in 2014 I think it was, I discovered that Sabine had been deducting for "transportation" and other production costs which had not been done by El Paso; upon notification Sabine (then NFR) corrected the accounting and sent me a check.
I may very well be wrong, but my gut tells me there's still a lame horse in Texas.
Perhaps someone can recommend an experienced reviewer/auditor?
