here are the descriptions I have for what my mom was deeded, and what I own 1/3 of now that she has passed. it was suggested that I try posting them to see if anyone familiar with canola county could speak to where these are and who is operating there so I can figure out which operators to contact. thank you in advance.
Number one: being 76.6 acres of land, situated in Panola County Texas, a part of the Thomas anderson survey: beginning at the north east corner of the Thomas anderson survey, a stake on the WB line of the BC Jordan survey, which is also the southeast corner of the PM May survey, a Pin oak north 7 1/2 east 9 1/2 vrs. A sweet gum north 65 W. 14 VRS, a Pin oak South 74 W. 7 1/3 VRS. Each marked X. Then south with BC Jordan’s westbound line 643VRS to isom Roquemore’s northeast corner. Then West with Roquemore‘s northbound line 656 VRS to his NNW corner. Then north at 144 VRS, pass John Robinson‘s Southeast corner and at 643 VRS, said Robinson‘s Northeast corner on Anderson’s northbound line. Then east, with said anderson’s northbound line 667 vrs to the place of beginning, containing 76.6 acres of land.
Plot number two: being 40 acres of land, more or less, which is a portion of a certain 70 acre tract of land, out of the Thomas anderson survey, Panola County, Texas, and which said 70 acre tract is described as: beginning at the south east corner of Tom Moore 16 acre tract. Then East 814 VRS. To the south west corner of Mrs ER Vinson 100 acre tract. Then north 510 VRS. To the most western north west corner of said Vinson tract. Then West 815 VRS to the northeast corner of said Tom Moore 16 acre tract. Then south 510 VRS to beginning, containing 70 acres of land more or less.
The land here by least being the above describes 70 acres of land, less 30 acres taken evenly off the south end of the above described tract, which 40 acres is the same land set aside and awarded to Dr. RC Hall, Mrs Esther horton Agurs, Mrs, Eleanor Martin, and the heirs of guy T horton, in a certain judgment of the district court of Panola County Texas dated September 29, 1925, and a record and volume M, page 477, of the minutes of said court, to which instrument and the record there of reference is hereby made for a more particular description and for all other necessary purposes.
Final paragraph: For all purposes of this lease, the described promises shall be treated as comprising 116.6 acres, whether there are be more or less. The fraction following each name above is the proportional part of grantor‘s interest in said minerals, which she here by transfers and conveys to each grantee respectively. Together with the right of ingress and egress, at all times for the purpose of mining, drilling, and exploring said land for oil, gas, and other minerals, and removing the same therefrom. Said land being now under an oil and gas lease executed in favor of union producing company, it is understood and agreed that the sale is made subject to the terms of said lease, and or any other valid lease covering the same, but covers and includes all of grantors interest in the oil, royalty and gas rental or royalty do and to be paid under terms of sadly, insofar as it covers the above described land.
It is understood and agreed that all of the money rentals, which may be paid, on the above described land, to extend the term within which a well may be begun under the terms of said lease, is to be paid to the said grantees; and, an event that the above described lease, for any reason becomes canceled or forfeited, then, and in that event, granted shall own all of grant tours interest in all oil, gas, and other minerals in and under said lands, together with a like interest in all bonuses paid, and all royalties and rentals provided for in future oil, gas and mineral leases covering the above described land.
