ND Confidential Well List

Does anyone know if the well postings that come off of Confidential Status, only happen Monday through Friday on the NDIC?

If a well is scheduled to come off confidential on a Saturday, does it post on Saturday?

Snues:

I think the NDIC is closed on Saturday and Sunday so most likely if a well comes off confidential status on one of these days, then it would be posted on Monday.

Thanks Charles,

That's sort of what I guessed how it would happen; however, I have witnessed the NDIC Daily Rig Count numbers increase/decrease on weekends, so I hoped the same would hold true for Confidential List.

I guess waiting 2 extra days for the listing to post isn't that much, after already waiting the 6 months. Hoping it has been frac'd and is producing.

They do only post Monday - Friday. If a holiday is in there it won't be posted on that day either. I do know this for a fact.

I saw this old post and just out of curiosity how long was it before your well was producing after this post?>

:(( I still have no wells to report. awaiting to see if the tyler formation is viable, in hopes the oil companies will move in to produce them mineral acres. it is my guess, given the date of my original post; that I was following the confidential list for a friend or family member that did have a well coming off the confidential list.

typically the confidential list is timely, but there are certain wells that are not producing, so no production gets posted, but you can see the well files.

do you have a well on confidential list?

I believe that the Bakken/Three Forks will be in the spotlight for a long time in the ND and MT areas. I would think very long term in regards to other formations which exists in the area. Lot's of factors could change as we head down the road, price of oil; quality of wells, etc. Hope all works out in your area.

Ewo of my wells were drilled and then they waited 9 months to frack/complete them. I believe that KOG was short of money and put all of the money they had into drilling more wells to keep from losing leases at the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011. KOG got a fresh infusion of cash of over 600 million and then they completed wells. I don't think it usually takes 11 months before a well produces but a couple of mine did.

I also know someone who had a pinched liner that had to be repaired and it was a year and a half before their well started producting. Like I said, I don't think these time frames are typical but they do happen and I recommend not spending any oil money until it hits the bank.

I also know of a situation where operators changed at close to the 150 days after first sales and the new operator wanted to get their own title opinion on who gets what, which set back the first payments to mineral owners by another 6 months or more.

I have interest in 4 wells that are scheduled to come of confidential list 6-1-14.

Very exciting news. It will be interesting to see if they've been frac'd, with the nasty cold winter this year, I think there may be a backlog of wells waiting to be frac'd this spring.

I hope not, but we will see .
