Name change on mineral rights in ND

How to change name (after divorce) on mineral rights in Ward County ND? I presume there’s a statement of claim and an identity affidavit involved. Yet as I’ve been reading, I see each state seems to have their own process on such things.

Also, my rights are an undivided share with my siblings, so would I submit a Statement of Claim listing their names, my new name, and an affidavit of identify for me? Would I need to include a copy of the divorce decree; does it need to be notarized? Any advice or direction is appreciated. Thank you.

I would recommend that you prepare an affidavit that simply recites that my name as shown on the records as Beth Kelly Smith is now Beth Kelly Jones, pursuant to a divorce decree dated … Don’t record the divorce decree. The affidavit will need to notarized. It should include the legal decription of the property. No need to list your siblings names.

Thank you very much!
