N. Dakota forced pooling questions

If you are force pooled in the state of N. Dakota, how long does the operator have to drill a well? Question #2 is, if the operator tried to lease me over a year ago for multiple parcels, only one of which they have force pooled me and drilled, does this absolve them from ever having to make a good faith attempt to lease me ever again? Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some light on these matters. R.W. Kennedy

You should review the applicable ND statutes:

Always a good suggestion, DG. I did look again and the regulations are silent as to time frame, as far as I can see. It appears to me that an offer from 30 years ago is as valid a good faith offer as one made today. I also saw no remedy should I be force pooled and a well not be drilled within a year, or ever. Possibly the questions haven’t come up yet.

Does the pooling order not state its term?
