My Experience so far with Crescent

So far, not great. First of all, when you contact owner relations you get an answering machine. Never a live person. They expect you to ask your questions on the recorded line. and they will get back to you. Anyway, my dealings with landman at TCO was short. Filed my lease with Duchesne County recorder within a couple days of them receiving it. THAT was june 29. But when I email owner relations at Crescent, the response I get is less than professional. It’s like they are very tight lipped. No, “hey I’m sorry sir, we are doing a,b,c.”. Anyone else have dealings with Crescent? Id like to compare experiences.I am a distant heir to these mineral rights, fractional only but this particular section in Utah is highly productive. Among the top.

At large companies, no calls to owner relations are answered by a live person. This department operates like a receptionist and has to forward the question to the appropriate department. It is far more efficient to send an email to owner relations, detailing your question so that it is clear and precise. Do not expect any internal information other than what is relevant to your question. Depending on the issue, it can easily take 8 weeks for a response.

That’s exactly what I found out. Email got me a faster response. I’m not looking for details. I totally get it, they have to build my file, account and do due diligence, and it is in my best interest. I have nothing but time. I’m a caregiver taking care of my wife who bedridden. I’m retired now and can wait. I was just a bit disappointed with the manner they responded to me. Rude. Now I know what I’m dealing with.
