How do I stop the annoying, irritating, boring, harassing, aggravating, bothersome MRF pop up at the lower right of the screen? Internet Explorer will not block them.
Anyone else be happy to see it gone?

Anyone else be happy to see it gone? Yes, Wilson. I'm with you. It's gotten to be a P.I.A.............And if you zoom your screen out you see advertisements for twitter, facebook and some other junk on the left side of the page. Very annoying.

What do you expect for a free service. They are annoying, but the site owner has the right to generate revenue.
We're just trying new sharing buttons to see if they work well.
The buttons on the side will be used if we see a significant uptake. We're also trying the recommended content box.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the slide out box, but we'll watch for a few days to see how well it is received. If you don't like it, don't click on it.
Have a good day guys and thank you for the feedback. Keep it coming.

What do you guys think about the recommended articles at the very bottom of each page?
I have no complaint about the ads. They are not distracting and annoying. The pop up is a "recommended for you" that is distracting and annoying every time it pops up.
Redneck fix: duct tape over it. Fixed.

Duct tape to the rescue........hahahahahaha
Dear Mr. Dukes,
The recommended articles at the bottom of the page are mostly out of sight and not annoying. There may even be people new to the forum who would like having them.
Not even the ad about genital itching and diarrhea is distracting though somehow I do find it mildly disturbing. However, why is "Garfield County OK Oil And Gas Permits" flashed at me? I do not know where Garfield County, OK is and have no desire to see the oil and gas permits there but I hope there are many. And I certainly do not need "Page Not Found" flashed at me.
MRF has been an interesting, informative and refreshing read for several years now without the pop ups. Please give me reason to take this duct tape off soon!
Thank you.
I’m trying to get rid of the follow / share gray bar across the bottom. Any ideas?
I particularly enjoyed, "Reply Deleted", I presume that if you click on that that you will be led to where the reply can not be found? Lol.
Click the arrow on the far right of the bar. That will minimize the bar.

Wilson,
Any strange ad you see is delivered by google and likely targeted to you based on your prior search history! HaHa.
Thanks for the feedback.

I've noticed several similar suggestions that lead to nowhere. The recommended software simply might not be good for a forum. We're going to watch it a few more days to see if the suggestions improve. Keep your thoughts coming.
FYI, the pop up in the bottom right when you scroll down has been removed.....It was just too annoying for anyone with an average size monitor.
Have a good day everyone,
