Monthly Production Data report (ND)

I am looking at the Monthly Production Data report (by well no). I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me out with what the columns mean & what you want to look for?

(I can figure out what the Pool, Date, Days are.)

But what about:

  1. BBLS Oil
  2. Runs
  3. BBLS Water
  4. MCF Prod
  5. MCF Sold
  6. Vent/Flare

Still new to this and trying to be sure that I am 'reading' the reports correctly.

Thank you :)

1. Barrels of Oil PRODUCED that month.

2. Barrels of Oil SOLD that month.

3. Residual water produced along with the oil (less is better).

4. Thousands Cubic Feet (MCF) of natural gas PRODUCED>

5. Thousands Cubic Feet of natural gas SOLD

6. Thousands Cubic Feet of natural gas BURNED OFF onsite (less is better).

for April one of them that I am watching is:

  1. 7938 - BBLS
  2. 7778 - SOLD
  3. 4592 - Water - is that 'low'?
  4. 11505 - MCF Produced
  5. 11032 - MCF Sold
  6. 405 - Vent - is that 'low'?

(This is starting the 3rd year 'producing' for this well.)

Consider youself lucky if your gas is getting sold. Many of us saw all of our gas vented or flared for a long time.

Best of luck,

SR, With those numbers it looks like you have a pretty good well. The water produced is a bit high, but not extreme. However, the production of the oil and your gas are good for a well into its third year. As Mineral Guy stated, many well are not connected to a pipeline and all their natural gas is being flared (burned off) rather than sold. So unlike those folks, you are benefiting from the sale of your gas. Overall this is not a "monster" well yet I suspect it is better than the average one.

Less than a barrel of water per barrel of oil is good. Even 10 barrels of water per barrel of oil is not an insurmountable obstacle if you have someplace on site to get rid of the water. I once looked at a Madison formation well with a stubby lateral that had produced 100,000 barrels of oil and over one million barrels of water over 20 years time, but it was right next to a salt water disposal well.

405 mcf vent/flared is not terrible, divided amongst 1280 acres, it's probably no more than 30 cents per acre royalty that went up in smoke for the month.

Where do you find the Monthly Production Data Reports on a well?

Billy, you should probably say where your minerals are, someone might not want to give a detailed description of how to get the production figures for ND and have it be worthless to you because your acres are someplace else.

Thanks RW. My minerals are located in Oklahoma. Beaver, Harper, Ellis & Payne counties.

Billy, I think you would be better off posting in an appropriate county group. You can find groups just left of center and below where it says Mineral Rights Forum at the top of this page.
