I inhereted 40 acres of property and do not know how if the mineral rights come with the land and if they do not, how do i find out who owns them and if someone decided to mine them would they need my approval?

You need to check with the County Clerks Office in the County that your property/minerals are in. They will have documentation of ownership.

Thanks. I checked with the clerks office and it seems that most of the land in the area, including mine was stripped of the mineral rights years ago...and that normally they lease the land to access the minerals.
