mineral rights sale?

Country roads has offered my family $3200 each to sell our mineral rights for land that was bought in the 1800s. It turns out that there is over 160 acres. Is that a fair price?

We cannot help without a state, county, section, township and range (or block, abstract and section in TX). Most offers are low to see who will bite. You need to know if there is any activity in the area. Most buyers know what is the pending activity. You need more information before you make a decision.

You decide what’s fair. First figure out how much property tax u have paid since 1800s. Plus other expenses. That’s your starting point. First thing is to recover all expenses. Then everything after that is extra
