I am trying to determine if a deceased family member owned any mineral rights in Atascosa county, TX. Any advice on how to search by name and county to determine this?

Atascosa Country has its records online through a pay site, www.titlex.com. The records are from 1995 forward. Earlier than that would require a trip to Jourdanton to examine the earlier records.

The only sure way is to go to the County Courthouse and look up in the Deed Records everything the family member ever bought or inherited and everything they ever sold and then follow out the title to any minerals or royalties they might have acquired or reserved.
