Like many of you I receive numerous offers to buy my mineral rights in Dewey County with most of the offers so far ranging between $1,500 and $3,500 per acre. I have just received an offer of $6,500 per acre. This seems so far out of line that I am curious to know what underlies it. Has anyone else received a similar offer?
We would need to know your Section/Township/Range to better answer. There has been a lot of interest in the Mississippi formation, especially in the eastern part of the county. Across the county line into Blaine County, the interest is the same, and $6,500 and up is not uncommon at all.
My interests are primarily in Sections 7 and 18, Township 19 North Range 17 West.
What company is offering $6,500/acre? The highest I’ve heard is about $3,500 around the Dewey/Woodward line.
