Why would the company that leased our mineral rights in WV for the last 10 years no longer want to lease them, last year they sent us offers for far more than we had leased them the first time, then when it came time to renew they said they weren’t leasing any more right now and no one was, confused??
They may have drilled wells in the area that were not economically what they expected, they may have sold those leases to someone else and the new company is not focused in that area. Prices for commodities might be lower than they want right now. Any number of reasons.
