Our family has received an offer to lease mineral rights on property in Jones County, Texas. The offer is $35/acre and 7% royalty. Does anyone have any information on mineral right leases in that area?? We recently concluded a much better lease on property in Hockley Co. and are wondering why the offer in Jones Co is so much less.
I got your reply. Do you remember the co. who made the offer. DWR oil co made us the offer.I do not know of any activity going on but my Mineral rights are in the Berry & Coggins subdivison. I will try to find out where that is. Must not be much going on as we are only one posting in Jones County. I take it you heard nothing more from the co. who made the offer.
