Does anyone know of any activity in the James Hope Survey A-22 off Hope Creek Rd? I have 473 acres of mineral rights. Thank you for any info you have.
There have been no new permits in this survey over the past 3 years but the drilling/trend work is moving in your direction. Lots of activity around Snook just across the river and various operators (PMO, PetroEdge, Comstock, Laredo, Halcon, etc.) are very active in the area chasing the Eagle Ford section.
Figure it is just a matter of time before this survey starts seeing horizontal drilling. This area is located a bit downdip so it is more gassy and less oily (a negative) due to deeper depths. Operators are not as aggressive chasing these gassier areas.
You can go to the Texas RRC GIS mapping site and find this survey and then scroll around to see what is happening in surrounding areas.

Rock man is right on. Drilling activity is moving in your direction from the Southwest across the river. Two wells were permitted in September in Burleson County close by to your Brazos County A-22 (API # 051-33843 and 33859). You should be seeing some activity in the near future.
