Mineral Rights Burke County, ND

Based upon the exploitation activity in Burke County, ND, what is decent offer per acre nowadays??? Thank You…

Pamela:

I'm not familiar with the Burke County area as my minerals are located in Williams County but the bonus amount will most likely depend on where in Burke County your minerals are located. Looking at the State Auction (May 2012), the amounts range from $375 - $100/acre. This was in the area of T164N;R92;Section 36. The area in T159 was bringing much more money in 2011. You might look at the GIS map on the NDIC website and find the nearest producing well(s) and check the production figures as this will have a major impact on the amount per acre you are paid.

Ms. Peterson, I do not have any recent figures for lease bonus and royalty in Burke county, it's a big place anyway and widely separated areas would have different average rates. I would suggest you find out what kind of activity is going on around your minerals by using the GIS server map on the NDIC O&G site. Permits would be good but producing wells would be much better. If you search your area and find active wells and you would like to find out their production, you can friend and private message me your legal description and I would be glad to look them up for you.
