The WV tax office has sent an appraisal of my mineral rights in Tyler County. If unchanged, the tax will be due around June 2021. The appraisal is based on gross royalty for 2019 from Antero Resources; however, Antero reduced the royalty for processing and transportation fees. My position is that Antero should pay the tax on money they took out, and I will pay tax on the net royalty and not the gross royalty. Any comment?
