Hi, J.

If you will send me your legal description, I will look up your land and the Lat-Long of it's location.

Here are the legal descriptions for several properties. Thank you for your help. Also, where did you find the information? Can I access the info online ?

I have a set of maps to send you, but The Forum limits it's uploads to only 5 MB. My set of maps is a little over 17 MB.

Accept my Invitation to become A Friend on The Forum and send me your email address.

I uploaded a zip file to DropBox. See if you can access your file here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/09z379m53yitwof/J%20PORTER.zip?dl=0

It is a fairly large zip file, so you may need to pause or turn off your screen saver before you begin to download it. If not, every time your screen saver kicks in it will terminate the download.

If cannot download it, I will need your email address.

Either way, make note that the Latitudes and Longitudes on the Road Maps I have included might vary up to about 3/4's of a mile from what your GPS, Phone or whatever else you use to try and locate the lands.

That appears to be because different websites, programs and machines use different "Mean Datums". I know that some use "27" and others use "88", for example.

I don't have an inkling as to what it all about, or even how many "Mean Datums" there are, but it's led me to grief many times.

Apparently it all has some relationship to how Lat-Longs are related to the Earth.

Damned Engineers... Always fooling around with things.

Hope this helps -

Charles

PS: There appears to be quite a number of Oil and Gas Wells on and around your tracts. Hope they've been looking for you!
