My grandmother inherited me her minerals rights. Back in the early 90’s she leased out her minerals one time. Ever since then the minerals had never been leased again. Now that I’m the owner of the minerals I did a little research on the minerals. It’s so happens that looked into the railroad commission and found out that several companies have been going to drill and pulling out natural gas. Never had my grandmother signed another contract or received any royalties. The documents that are filed with the railroad commission still has my grandmother’s name on the section for lease name it also has her RRC ID# and the same API #. Wh has been gotten paid for the royalties? What do I need to do to get the royalties that pertain to me?
Hi Melissa!
I will be happy to help you with this. What I will need is your Grandmother's name and the legal descriptions of the lands involved and any information you have regarding the Wells involved.
It may simply be a matter of changing over your Grandmother's name into yours, which will take some paperwork, but is not that difficult.
The Forum does not allow us to exchange personal contact information directly, but allows us to become Friends, where we can do that.
I am sending you an Invitation to become A Friend on The Forum. If you will accept it, you can send me what you know about the properties that way and I will be happy to help you find out who to contact in order to get your paperwork straightened out.

Go to the Unclaimed Property link on the Texas Comptroller's Web site and search for your grandmother's name. You might have money waiting for you there because the producer had no idea who your grandmother's heirs or heirs-at-law were.
