Looking for any information about potential new drilling as I have been getting a lot of unsolicited letters and calls lately, I am currently leased at a 1/5 royalty, but there is no production that I am aware of.
I own minerals in Sections 35 and 36 of 13N-18W. Any info is greatly appreciated!
I don’t have the skills or the knowledge to find any new permits or litigation plans. What I can see (Google OCC Well Finder Data) that there is a Form 1000 Permit To Drill a couple of section west and 1 section South of you. However, it’s drilling 3 sections South. It is drilling in the Cherokee Formation. If You’re receiving unsolicited offers, there’s a very good chance someone is looking to drill. We inherited a section a few years ago and last year we only received about $400 in Royalties all together. It was more problem that was worth it to us. Someone offered to buy, we sold at the first offer. # months later, figured out why. Live and learn.
