Mineral Leasing Activity

Being ‘pestered’ a bit by a guy who says he’s attempting to obtain leases on behalf of an outfit called Lincoln Land & Title in this township. A Google search of this entity doesn’t reveal much and he uses a private domain email so it all just smells sour. His offerings are the typical low ball stuff you’d expect but just curious if anyone other 4N-6W owners are getting contacted by them.

If his name is Billy, I received a call from him on a section in Stephens County. I did the same thing and Googled Lincoln Land & Title. It does not appear to be a legit company, in my opinion. Also, this guy is an “independent landman” working for Lincoln Land & Title representing an undisclosed producer. He would not disclose who the producer would be. At that point, we passed and told him there were too many unknowns. He hasn’t bothered us since.

Are you getting royalties from the active gas wells in sec 7 already? The first one I looked at was spaced at 640. You may or may not actually be open to lease depending upon if you were leased before or pooled only for the Springer. Continental Resources is in the area. They have the Griswold horizontal just to the north in 31/6 and are leasing in section 6.

Mary,

Yes we have royalties from two active wells in 7. The Steve 1-7 and Pitchford 1-7 both currently operated by BCE Mach 111. This leasing guy states that they’re interested in deeper reservoirs below those formations. I would have to go look at those leases to see if we are released below those depths. They’re offers as so terrible I just tell them ‘no thanks’…..we’ll just wait for a pooling order

Yes they are wanting rights below the Springer. The reason why is the recent Gulfport: Garnett 5-29X05H Woodford well, with the toe of the well in section 5-4N-6W about one mile away. The well has produced over 3.5 BCF from April 2025 through Sept 2025 (from OTC records), with daily gas rate of approximately 20,700 MCFD.

Thx for the info Dstone. I couldn’t find any production history. Where were you able to find it?

If you go to OTC website, type in Gulfport under the search by company name. Then you will see about four pages of well names. You will find the two Garnett wells. If you try to use the site searching by legal or by lease name, the wells will not come up. Maybe a glitch in thier system, so one needs to try other methods of research.
