How do I find information on mineral leases in San Juan County, Utah from 1980?

I would contact the Utah Department of Natural Resources (Oil & Gas Division). The records on all mineral leases in the County would most likely be found at the County Clerk’s office in Monticello, Utah. There is a lot of information on the Oil & Gas website.
