I also have some land that my great grandfather left me in St. Augustine County. I have been approached by a couple of oil companies wanting to lease my land but I have no idea how I should negotiate lease terms. They said they would pay $700 an acre with a 20% royalty. I'm only 20, a college student and that money sure would help with tuition.
Any advise you can give me would greatly be appreciated. I am going to school in Nevada.
