Our original lease has been sold 4 times now. I am never notified in advance only after the fact. Should I be receiving any $ from the lessor(besides the royalty) for acquiring the lease?
They are not obligated to notify you in advance unless required under the lease terms. Mineral owner lessor is not paid for lease assignments by oil company lessee.
You are the lessor. No $$ to lessor when lessee assigns to another.
