We have been contacted by paramount field services with a lease agreement to lease 16 ac of mineral rights in Divide count North Dakota. The offer is $50 per mineral acre and 16.6% royalty. We have no idea if this is in the ball park. It seems some what low to us. Can any one provide some information as to what is normal for the area. This acreage is located in section 1 T162N102W

From an known oil deposit prospective, I believe that a reservation of your minerals is worth far, far more than the offer made. The term of the reservation will be important to the successful operators in the immediate area so it can fit into their plans. Paramount doesn't show up as an operator but they may be working with one; I do not know. The well in Section one has been plugged and the leases expired. Be patient, if an operator is trying to put the leased back together, prices will be going up.
