My family recently inherited land in the Tatums area, in Carter County, off Pilgrim road in the "poolsville" area as some call it, area. We also inherited the mineral rights along with the land. We are seeking to get an oil & gas company to lease our land. There are no oil rigs on our land, and there never have been, but we are sure that there are minerals. Back in the 50's, an oil company approached my grandfather about drilling on the land, but he refused their offer.
