In 1996, I entered into a real estate contract to sale 64 surface acres. I reserved the mineral fee estate 100%, located in Amite County MS. The surface owner has sold said surface rights to a company called (Sassafras LLC), located; 4329 Tupello St. Baton Rouge, LA. Has anyone ever heard of this company? They are not listed in the Louisana Business Directory. I plan to lease my mineral estate, located in the Tuscaloosa Marine Oil Shale. I wanted to give the surface owner notice of my intent to lease as a courtesy notice.

That is more than nice, but I would not worry about it. However they are a LLC in good standing, through the Secretary of State.
