We have an offer to sell Mineral rights in Carter County OK. We received a Mineral Deed to sign but it states “In consideration of $10 and O.V.C.” Why not state the purchase price?
To keep the price off the public record.
That is pro forma language. Never deliver a deed until you have an actual check. Beware of sight drafts, warranty clauses etc.
