My sister and i have 10 acres in McMullen County, a part of Naylor-Jones. My royalty check from EOG has been declining to very little, however, I get offers of $50 to $60+ for my share. I just received an offer of only $6,000 for my share. Help me understand what is going on. I never read or see information on McMullen County.

If you are suddenly getting offers to buy, then someone knows something and they want to make a profit off of you. It could indicate pending horizontal drilling if you have only had vertical wells in the past. Check the RCC for permits near you, check the local paper if they carry oil and gas news. Look up EOG’s investor presentations and see if they mention your area.
