I have mineral rights in McKenzie County North Dakota. How do I find out how much they are worth. I have a lease but now I have people wanting to purchase them.
How do I get an appraiser?
How do I get information about wells and any plans to drill on the acreage?
I would be most grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
I have so many questions.
Thank you,
Heather
What section, township, range are they in

If you are getting offers, there may be pending activity, so the forum can help with that part if we have a section, township and range.
The Directories tab above has appraisers. Pecan Tree does east of the Mississippi and Vass does west of the Mississippi River.
Don’t be too quick to sell until you have determined if you have missing money held at the state or with an operator, know the activity in the area and really understand what you own.
township 149north range 103 west 5th pm section 2
Thank you I appreciate any help.
Welcome to the forum.
You are probably getting offers because there is a new permit for a multi-section well just to the north of you in 150N-103W-25/36. Very common to have buyers hit the surrounding sections. There is a horizontal just to the east of you in 149N-102W-6/7. It has been online for 15 years and still producing.
If you have no real reason to sell, then just sit back and see what happens with your lease.
Case #33015 in the ND Hearing Dockets includes your area: Application of Phoenix Operating LLC for an order amending
the applicable orders for the Winter Butte-Bakken Pool to
establish a laydown 2560-acre spacing unit comprising Sections
1, 2, 3, and 4, T.149N., R.103W., McKenzie County, ND, and
authorize up to four horizontal wells to be drilled in such unit,
and/or granting such other relief as may be appropriate. So, they are requesting a hearing to get the approval for multi-section well that includes your section.
