Does anyone know why production of oil went down thousands for the reporting month of 08/19? Production started 10/18.
Could be natural, or could be there is fracking nearby and the well was shut in for safety. Wait and see if it comes back up in a month or so.
Ina: These horizontal wells deplete 80% in the first year so a sharp decline is not unexpected. The operator of this well, BP, has decided to sell out of the area as the wells aren’t performing as advertised. As M_Barnes stated, the well could have been shut-in for a period of time if there was fracking going on in an adjacent section. Time will tell if that is the cause or this is another case of steep declines.

BP is selling out? Do you know who to? It already took its major decline 05/19. Thousands of volumes then. It had been pretty consistent for a while and then it dropped to a hundred units. That’s crazy. We will see.
