I have been familiar with minerals for quite some time now although I am trying to get a better grasp of surface acreage in the Permian. Does anyone know what the typical go rate is per acre for surface in SE Martin County? Block 35 and Block 36 Township 1S. To my understanding there are no producing assets on their shut as SWD or anything of that nature. Thanks for all of the help.
Also the minerals have already been sold.
Before the downturn in March 2020, dryland surface acreage was going for about $5,000-$7,500 an acre and irrigated for about $10,000-$12,500 per acre. That was for surface only. Whether or not the water rights have been severed from the property would make a difference too, I’m sure. I don’t know what current values are, but I’m sure they are a little lower.
