I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this?
Use the TRRC GIS Viewer. MK
If you are looking for a particular area, I subscribe to a service that allows me to put different maps together. Happy to help.
I have tried that many times and it does not work for me.
How costly is that service?
I do not know why my main post Subject did not say this, but I am asking if anyone knows how to get printouts of all wells being drilled and producing.
I am not sure why this does not work for you? What type of PC are you using or are you using your phone? Are you zooming in on the counties and then the sections? Only then will you see what is going on? The left side menu has the info for what each type of info you are looking at, except it does not explain the lines for horizontal wells even though it shows the ends as wells and the pentagons as the starting pads for horizontal wells. Midland County alone has had over 15K wells drilled from Jan 1993 - Dec 2024. MK
You need to check out the website for The Railroad Commission of Texas - which regulates the Oil & Gas Industry throughout Texas. They should have new drilling permits, maps of existing wells, plugged wells, etc., with most of the information available online.
ShaleXP has a map of all wells in Texas. This is a link to an alphabetically ordered list that is said to include all producing wells in Texas. I think a “live” rigs on the ground report will require a $$$$ subscription service. Check out these free tools:
