Possibly if the United States put a tariff on oil & gas coming from other countries into the United States it might increase our prices here in the United States. This would greatly help the oil and gas industry along with everything that goes along with it. Then Iran, Russia and and Saudi Arabia could lower their prices all they want and it would not hurt the United States. Sure it would meaning higher gas prices, "BUT"?
Now would be a great time to increase the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
